Coxsakie virus infection(A5, A10, B2, B5, enterovirus 71 subtype)이다.
주로 계절을 타는데, 봄, 여름에 잘생긴다.
주 호발 연령은 5세 미만이다.
복통, URI symptom, malaise가 증상이다.
미열 2-3일 정도 유지되다가 1-3일째가 되면 Oral lesion(ehrythematous macule)이 생기고 구개, 잇몸, 혀, buccal mucosa(협부점막) 에 병면이 나타난다.
치료는 대증적으로 치료하는데 열이나거나 못먹는 경우에는 탈수가 진행되어 위험할 수 있다.
드물지만 뇌수막염, 심근염, 패혈증이 생길수 있다.
